Good News For The Twin City

Caterpillar Inc. plans to open a $426 million manufacturing plant in Winston-Salem that will employ some 510 people. The company will make components for its 1.3 million pound trucks, which are used in mining.

After watching his brothers Miles and Mason Plumlee help Duke win a national title, Marshall Plumlee has decided to join them in Durham.

The younger Plumlee, who is a 7-foot center at Christ School in Arden, N.C., has committed to play for Duke beginning in the 2011-12 season.
